Texas Wine Country Jellystone Park Camp – Resort Jan. 4 – 11, 2018

Fredericksburg, Texas

We loved the drive up here. It was so pretty. It was not what we were expecting Texas to look like. We were expecting like tumbleweeds and desert and flat. This part of Texas had rolling hills and woods lining green pastures.

The park was so much fun for the kids. There was so much for them to do. We went for walks. They played at the playground but I think their most favorite thing was the jumping pillow. They had a dog area for Molon to run around in. Alima loved the clubhouse the most. We also saw The Peanut Movie at their camp movie night. Steven laughed so much. He loved that movie. One night we tried to light a fire but I think the wood was wet because all we got was smoke.

The kids were so disappointed. They really wanted to do s’mores. We did find that the H.E.B had cheaper firewood than the campground. The place was so empty when we were there because we were off season but this place is crazy busy in summer. It was nice.

We loved all the wineries around. There were sooooo many. I wish we had more time to spend going to them. We did go into town and had pizza at West End Pizza Company with the little boys. They loved the fresh pizza. I loved that our server was so friendly and the atmosphere there. They had paper table cloth that they kids could color on. The pizza was amazing.  I loved walking around and seeing all the shops full of local artists. We really loved this town.

We were so happy to meet Heath & Alyssa Padgett of The RV Entrepreneur. They were so nice. We had dinner with them at Hondo’s On Main. This place is such cool restaurant where you served yourself. The food was good. They serve southern food and have a patio as well as local live music. It was so fun.

We went to Magnolia Market when we left Fredericksburg. It was so neat. We had cupcakes and coffee. Even on that cold day the line was out the door. They said that in there busy season they have customer’s around the corner and down the block. We took some great pictures but we didn’t stay long there, like I said it was super cold.

Texas Wine Country Jellystone Park Camp – Resort
They had a dog area. There is a clubhouse. Splash pad with pool. A concession stand. Located near an H.E.B. for groceries. Laundry and RR were nice. Laundry was about $1.50  for wash and the same for dry. spots were a nice size and ours had a fire ring. The spots are dirt and grass.
